Not only a Horror film (8/10)      

This movie has nothing to do with the trailer I've watched. The beginning is centered on the story and the people. I loved the immersion in this world, so old and far... And then, Bang! Watching Thomas and Edith falling for each other was like watching again Hans and Anna in Frozen! At the end, I finally understood that the movie was everything I wasn't expecting! Which isn't bad at all. It was fun to be surprised, but that story isn't that new either... The actors were amazing though! There was enough blood and Arrkkk... but it's not the Horror part that's more important, it's all the tormented persons. The decor was the perfect touch to improve all the feels.

Ce film-là n'a rien à voir avec ce que la bande-annonce m’a laissé croire. Le début est axé sur l'histoire et les personnages. J'ai beaucoup aimé me plonger dans ce monde lointain et ancien qui nous est présenté. Et puis soudain… Boum ! Mais voir Edith et Thomas tomber en amour m'a rappelé soudainement Hans et Anna de La reine des neiges !! Quoiqu’à la fin, j'ai enfin réalisé que je m'attendais vraiment à autre chose ! Ce qui n'est pas mauvais en soi. J’ai été agréablement surprise, mais l'histoire n'est pas si nouvelle… Cependant, l'interprétation était magistrale ! Il ne manque pas de sang et de Eurk… mais ce n'est pas l'horreur qui transparaît dans ce film, mais bien les tourments des personnages. Le décor englobait parfaitement tout ce que je ressentais.

Not "Kids friendly" (8/10)      

That's the romantic comedy of the new generation and I really liked it, though I think it's even less "kids friendly" than American Pie!

Pas pour les enfants ! (8/10)     Cinoche

C'est exactement ce que l'on s'attend d'une comédie romantique de la nouvelle génération. J'ai vraiment apprécié, mais je crois que c'est encore moins pour les enfants que Folies de graduation !

A third chapter not that bad (7/10)       

It was still scary, with spirits, ghosts, and whatever’s in that movie franchise that are driving me nuts. I hate them, even if I still don't understand the way everything can go both ways, both worlds... Dermot Mulroney brings another dimension, more humanity to this movie, even if at the third one we are pretty sure nothing new can happen. I liked the fact that it happened before the first movie, the nice old lady was there and I wasn’t afraid that she’d get killed.

Toujours effrayant, les esprits dans cette série de films arrivent toujours à me rendre folle. Je les déteste, même si je ne comprends pas encore très bien comment fonctionnent les deux mondes parallèles ensemble. Le côté humain de Dermot Mulroney ajoute une autre dimension à ce film, même s'ils en sont au 3e et que l'on pense qu'il n'y a plus rien à ajouter. Le fait que cela se passe avant le premier ramène la si gentille dame et enlève le stress de la voir mourir.

Very surprising! (7/10)         

Yeah... the end really surprised me, big time! Even though everything was there to understand a lot before that! The trailer sucked, I'm happy I watched it and liked it. The colors are dark, in fact there are no colors! But I never got bored. Thank you Alexander Skarsgard, your good acting and good looks helped a bit!

Oui, ils ont su me surprendre, solide ! Pourtant, tout y était pour que je comprenne bien avant… Mais pour une bande-annonce bien nulle et pas très invitante, j'ai été surprise. On ne s'y ennuie pas, très surprenant ! Merci Alexander Skarsgard, un bon acting, un beau jeu, un beau visage, ça a bien aidé, mais la mauvaise voix française… aurait pu tout gâcher.

Une expérience à vivre ! (8/10)     

J'ai vraiment adoré cette expérience ! Retourner dans les années 70-80, durant les premiers slashers (mettons plus Vendredi 13), avec la technologie d'aujourd'hui, c'était un rêve devenu réalité, mais presque trop coloré ! Les personnages étaient caricaturés, il ne fallait pas le prendre au sérieux pour l'apprécier. J'ai eu peur un certain moment que le fait d'être pris dans le même film et de recommencer encore et encore allait devenir pesant, mais pas un instant ! En plus, le casting est impressionnant ! C'est dans ma liste de film d'horreur que je réécoute, tout simplement. Par contre, pour une traductrice, je ne suis pas d'accord avec la traduction du titre ! 

A moment to experience! (8/10)     

I really loved that experience! Going back to the ’70s and the '80s during the first slashers (particularly Friday the 13th), with the technology from today, it was a dream come true, but almost too colorful! The characters were cartoonesque, to appreciate this movie, it was important to have fun and love the ridiculousness of it. I was a bit afraid that with the movie that replays again and again, it would be oppressive, but not a single moment! And the casting was impressive! It’s on my list of horror movies that I rewatch once in a while, and that says it all.

A Christmas movie pretty different (7/10)     

This movie is weirdly narrated by a guy ‘til the end. The sadness gets to you right from the start, enough that I didn’t think I would watch it all the way through. I wanted a comforting Christmas movie, you know… There are so many characters and stories that the connexions are difficult to understand. Thanks for that diner finally! SPOILER ALERT FROM HERE : A few things were hard to believe, like the love story between the nice old man and the young lost waitress, which lead to her and his grandson (?). I think I liked the way they added strange images out of nowhere through the movie, less the fact that the dog was telling me the story. I must say that Diane Keaton just always brings something special to a movie, I just love her. We can still feel many cute and romantic moments, thanks mostly to Eleanor and Joe and a special mention to Sam and Charlotte, that deserve the hottest scene!

Un film de Noël qui sort des sentiers battus (7/10)     Cinoche

Ce film-là est étrangement raconté par un narrateur tout le long. La tristesse transpire de partout durant le début, assez pour que je me demande si je vais terminer le film. Je cherchais un film de Noël réconfortant, tu comprends… Il y a tellement de personnages et d’histoires que les liens sont difficiles à faire et certains se font juste au souper rassembleur. DIVULGÂCHEUR PAR LA SUITE : Je trouvais des choses difficiles à avaler, comme la relation entre le gentil vieux monsieur et la jeune serveuse perdue, qui l’a menée à son petit-fils (?). Je pense avoir apprécié l’ajout d’étranges images à travers tout le film, mais un peu moins le fait qu’on comprend que le chien nous raconte l’histoire. Je me dois de mentionner que voir Diane Keaton dans un film, pour moi, c’est toujours spécial, je l’aime tout simplement. On peut quand même apprécier plusieurs moments romantiques et adorables, surtout grâce à Eleanor et Joe, mais une mention spéciale à Sam et Charlotte, qui nous donnent la scène la plus torride !
